Our Process

The Initial Consultation

Joe Booth, the owner of The Amish Custom Cabinet Company, meets with you personally for a free, no-obligation in-home consultation. During this meeting, your needs, preferences, functionality and space will be expertly captures and documented. This process typically takes two hours — longer depending on the complexity of the project.

Review and Approval

After this initial consultation, a 3-D rendering of the proposed design and a detailed project quote will be delivered. Review of the proposal and design details can be completed in person or via telephone. Any required adjustments or modifications to the proposal are accomplished quickly. Following the rendering and budget approval, a final meeting is set to discuss cabinet functions and hardware selections, such as hinges, doorknobs and hardware.

The Construction Stage

Joe delivers the design to our Amish mill shop for construction. Each piece is individually handcrafted, carved, formed and sanded from aged wood. After a thorough inspection process, the pieces are sent to the mill shop’s finishing area, where the stain or paint is applied. All stains and paints are applied by hand and include a two-coat catalyzed finish. After drying in the spray room, the cabinets are ready for hardware. Adjustable hinges and European, heavy-duty, full-extension undermount glides ensure that the drawers will have the smoothest glide possible.

Delivery

After a final inspection by a senior craftsman, your cabinets are ready for delivery. Our Delivery Service Team personally hand wraps each cabinet with soft cloth blankets for maximum padding and protection. We never use plastic Bubble Wrap™ or foam, as they can leave residue and smudge prints on the cabinets. Also, we believe that plastic and foam create unnecessary waste and garbage.

Custom Installation

Our reputation for quality extends through delivery and installation. Your cabinets were built by the finest artisans and should be installed with the same level of skill, knowledge and craftsmanship. During our installation process, we take every precaution to maintain the perfection of the cabinet finishes and to carefully join the pieces as precisely as they were designed.

Our Warranty

Our Amish craftsmen are proud of their work and we stand by every piece we produce. Our cabinets are fully warrantied for one year. Should your cabinets ever require repair or touch-up, we will quickly fulfill your needs.
